Overview

Decion (“the App”) is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe a simple decision-making tool should not require your personal information to work. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device using AsyncStorage:

• Categories you create (name, icon, schedule)
• Options you add to each category
• Theme preference (light/dark mode)
• Notification settings (whether daily reminders are enabled)

This data is stored locally on your device. If you enable optional cloud sync (via Supabase), your categories and decision history are backed up to a secure cloud database so you can restore them if you switch devices.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No names, email addresses, or contact information beyond what you voluntarily provide
• No location data
• No photos, camera, or microphone access
• No advertising identifiers

Third-Party Services

Analytics

The App uses Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g. screen views, feature usage). No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out of analytics in the App settings. Mixpanel's privacy policy is available at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

In-App Purchases

The App uses RevenueCat (via the react-native-purchases SDK) to manage optional in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes your purchase through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Push Notifications

If you opt in to daily reminders, the App uses Expo Notifications to schedule local notifications on your device. These notifications are processed entirely on-device and are not sent through any external server.

Crash Reporting

The App uses Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports and error diagnostics. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device type, OS version, and stack traces, but do not include personally identifiable information. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable cloud sync, the App uses Supabase to store your categories and decision history. This data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and stored in Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy. You can disable cloud sync at any time, and your data remains available locally.

Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All network communication uses industry-standard HTTPS encryption. Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security features. We do not store passwords or payment information — authentication and payments are handled entirely by Apple and our third-party service providers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party. Data is only transmitted to the third-party services listed above (RevenueCat, Mixpanel, Sentry, Supabase) for the purposes described, and only when you use those features.

Data Retention

All App data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the App. If you use cloud sync, you can request deletion of your cloud data by contacting us. We do not retain any local data after uninstallation.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
